Catering Policies – Miami Dade College
  1. All catering request must be placed with 15 days in advance prior to the event date. We need this lead time to order ingredients and plan our production accordingly. There are no maximum per person orders, however the minimum is 10 per timed event.   
  2. All catering requests must be tied to a Purchase Order (PO) Number that will be issued to departments at MDC by the College or a credit card authorization.
  3. A request is not equal to an order. Once a request is reviewed, we will contact you with a confirmation that the request has been received and will be serviced. Sometimes, catering requests might overlap one another and we want to avoid making commitments blindly.
  4. Our prices are extremely competitive. However, they do reflect the premium we charge for the convenience of delivering and setting up according to your specifications and expectations. Our prices also reflect production levels that will be sufficient to feed all of the attendants to your event. For these reasons, we remain reluctant to price negotiations. In order to accommodate lower prices, our production would have to be adjusted, which could have a negative impact on your guests’ satisfaction, and essentially, on us as your caterer.
  5. Cancellation on confirmed orders must be done 7 days in advance. Otherwise, you will be invoiced for the cost of goods.
